1. What software does the user need on their computer to use the easyDSE software?

The user needs a web-browser (IE5 or higher) with javascript enabled. A PowerPoint viewer (available free here) is required to view the training course.

2. Although most of the employees in my company have access to the intranet, not all of them do. How can they use the survey software?

It is possible for you to generate paper surveys from within the admin area of the easyDSE software. This paper based survey can be completed by the user and then returned to you on paper. It is then possible to enter the paper form into the easyDSE system.

3. Is DSE self assessment legal under Health and Safety law?

The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations state that suitable and sufficient training must be provided to employees. The easyDSE survey software comes complete with a training course which teaches users about the risks to health, why they need to arrange their workstations correctly, and when to seek help.

4. What do you recommend is the minimum size of organisation to use the software?

We think 30 users or more is realistic.

5. How are users recognised by the system? How are they uniquely identified?

All users have to enter a unique identifier into their system. We recommend it is the same one as they use to log onto their computers each day. If your company doesn't use login names for the pc, then the users can enter their full name and still stay unique within the system. Eg. john.p.mercer

6. What are the technical requirements for using this software?

This is answered in detail here

7. What support is available?

Online support via email and the public support forum is available.

8. We have 1000+ employees in our organisation. Is it easy to administer these via the easyDSE software?

Yes it is. Take a look at the screenshots to see how easy it is to administer the assessments. All users are assigned a risk ranking, enabling you to prioritise your efforts.

9. We have 1000+ employees in our organisation. Can the software cope with such a large amount of users?

The software has been specifically designed for that purpose. Furthermore it has been robustly tested with over 5000 active users. Performance was still excellent. If you are planning to use the software with a large number of employees we strongly recommend using SQL Server as the database.

10. I am impressed with the easyDSE software, but how does it compare to the competition

This is shown in detail here.

11. Can we adapt the code?

No this will invalidate the support.

12. How does it work with licensing / pricing?

This is is covered in detail here.

13. We require some customisation, can you help?

It is possible. Please contact us with details about what you would like to change, and we will be in touch with a price.

14. Are you busy developing other HSE software?

Yes! But if you have a request then let us know.
